RKI 101 Introduction to Reiki Energy Medicine

You will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of Energy Medicine during this workshop
and get a peek behind the many doors that compromise the healing arts. The focus of this
introductory class will be on Reiki as an alternative healing modality. Concrete, easy to
understand concepts will be introduced and students will find answers to the questions:

   What is Reiki and how does it work?
   What are the historical roots of Reiki?
   How can Reiki be used for health and healing?
   How can Reiki be used in combination with Traditional Medical treatments?
   How can I use Reiki in my home, career and life?

Reiki techniques are demonstrated and students will get an opportunity to experience feeling
their own energy field and that of their fellow students.




RKI 102 Reiki Level I Certificate

This class is taught using the original intent and ideals of Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of
Reiki. Topics include connecting to the frequency of Reiki energy using basic Reiki breath
and meditation techniques. Beginning energy field scanning and self healing hand positions
are taught. Basic techniques for grounding and protection are also introduced.

During this workshop, students will gain a thorough understanding of the principles of self-
healing, the Reiki attunement and the twenty-one day cleanse process. Students will become
First Degree Reiki Practitioners and earn a Reiki Level I Certificate upon completion of this
class.




RKI 103 Essential Treatment Room Technique Basics

This highly experiential class will teach students how to incorporate Reiki for the treatment
of friends, family and for fellow practitioners during Reiki exchanges and shares. Students
will learn how to create sacred space in the healing room, how to connect with the energy
that is Reiki and how to connect with the energy of the Reiki recipient. Basic hand positions
when working with others will be taught. Techniques to move the head and/or other parts of
the body during a treatment are introduced. Students will also learn how to work in tandem
with other practitioners as they begin to share Reiki, how to clear energy fields and how to
release the flow of energy.





RKI 104 Couples Reiki

Reiki for couples is a three-part series that explores how Reiki's nurturing and energizing
light can bring couples closer together. Couples will learn how to establish a meditation
practice together, take part in a candlelight attunement ceremony and learn and practice
sacred Reiki hand positions.


Couples Reiki will satisfy the requirements for the Reiki Level I series and Certificate. The
fee is $360.00 per couple with a discounted price of $325.00 per couple when paid for in full
prior to the beginning of the series

Session I - Introduction
Introduction - Couples will learn how the practice of Reiki can bring a deeper understanding
and sense of joy to their relationship. They will learn how Reiki can open a gateway for an
enhanced spiritual relationship. During this first class, the basics of Reiki and its history will
be taught. Couples will develop a meditation practice together and learn how to share ener-
gy through expanding their luminous fields.


Session II - The Attunement
The Attunement - During this class, couples will experience having their healing frequencies
raised together during a very special candlelight ceremony. This evening class will include
the attunement, a water ceremony and the sharing of poetry that was used by Mikao Usui,
Reiki's founder, in his teachings.


Session III - Couples Treatment Plan
This class will begin with a morning mediation and will include guidance on hand positions
for treating each other with love and light. Couples will end their workshop series with the
tools needed to continue on their Reiki journey together

RKI 201 Reiki Level II Certificate

During this workshop, students will be exposed to a thorough study of the Reiki initiation
symbols. They will learn the components of each symbol, how to draw each symbol and
will be instructed in their energetic applications. Reiki Distance Healing techniques will be
taught and practiced and students will be guided through a group distance healing media-
tion. This class will culminate in the designation of Reiki Level II Practitioner and each
student attending will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.





RKI 202 Essential Treatment Room Techniques - Advanced

This highly experiential class will teach students how to incorporate Reiki into the treatment
of others including clients that may seek their services as an adjunct to traditional medicine.
Students will be given instruction in techniques that guide their clients into very relaxed and
meditative states. The will learn how to use symbols to create sacred space in the healing
room. They will also learn when, why and how to use the symbols in the treatment of others.
This class will conclude with a question and answer period.

RKI 301 The Foundation of Japanese Reiki

Class #1 presents the foundation for the understanding of Japanese Reiki including the
culture surrounding Reiki, its history and philosophy. Students begin with the Japanese
pronunciations of the words most inherent in the practice of Reiki. They learn about the
Roots of Reiki Practice, the six founding principles and study and practice the Gassho
Meditation and the Sun Mudra. A basic foundation breathwork is taught and practiced.




RKI 302 The Living Practice of Japanese Reiki

Prerequisite: RKI 301– The Foundation of Japanese Reiki

Students will begin this class with instruction in a Group Spiritual Routine followed by
an introduction to the Living Practices of Reiki. They will then be instructed in additional
breathwork techniques that layer upon the foundation breathwork taught in Level I . The
class will conclude with the instruction of Byosen Sensing and an experiential clinic.




RKI 303 Reiju - The Spiritual Blessing

Prerequisite: RKI 302 – Intermediate Japanese Reiki

The original spiritual blessing of Reiju as passed by Dr. Usui will be taught and practiced
including a preparatory ancient Dry Bath routine during this advanced Japanese Reiki
class. The Heart’s Breath and other advanced breathwork techniques will also be taught
and practiced.




RKI 304 The Magic of Symbols in Reiki Practice

Prerequisite: RKI 303 – Reiju Spiritual Attunement
2.5 Hour Session

Reiki Mudras and Mantras are introduced in this Advanced Workshop. The Reiki Shower
and the use of the Reiki Symbols in Magical Practice will be experienced by the students.
The series will conclude with the giving and receiving of the Reiju blessing in candlelit
ceremonial setting and the presentation of Certificates of Completion.



 
   


Section IV - Shinpiden (The Mystery Teachings)
Pre-requisites to begin Level IV include Certificates in Reiki Level I, Reiki Level II, and
The Art of Japanese Reiki.

RKI 401 Reiki Level III Certificate Workshop

Reiki Level I, Reiki Level II, The Art of Japanese Reiki

During this five hour intensive, students will be introduced to the deeper meanings of the
Reiki symbols and their connection to the guides and angels of the Reiki frequencies. Stu-
dents will learn to draw the Reiki Master symbol as well as the symbols that energetically
support the Master symbol. They will also be required to demonstrate proficiency in draw-
ing Level I & Level II Reiki symbols. Emphasis will be placed on learning to create the
sacred space necessary for the Reiki Attunement process and students will begin the work
of learning how to pass a Reiki Level I attunement.

The designation of Reiki Practitioner Level III and an accompanying certificate will
be awarded to each student successfully completing this class.

RKI 501 The Privileges and Responsibilities of Becoming a Reiki Teacher

Pre-requisite: Successful completion of all previous courses in the Reiki Program

This class will begin by discussing the privileges and responsibilities of becoming a Reiki
Teacher and will offer an opportunity to students, through open discussion and a self test,
to draw correlations to their own life goals and aspirations. This session will also assist
students in moving past myth and fiction to historically accurate information regarding the
history and practice of Reiki. Included in this class will be information regarding the origin
of Reiki, the practice of Reiki, and the background of Dr. Usui and his successors. The Reiki
lineages of students will be explored and an introductory discussion of symbols as the
universal sign language will be included.

Some of the class highlights include:

   • What is a Light worker?
   • The Most Frequently asked Questions about Reiki
   • The Most Infrequently asked Questions about Reiki
   • The Answers from our teachers: Dr. Usui, Dr. Hayashi and Mrs. Takata
   • Presentation Requirement Discussion

The requirements for the Reiki Teacher program including the presentation requirements
will be discussed.





RKI 502 Passing a Reiki Level I Attunement

Students will revisit the Reiki I Symbols, their meanings and uses. They will learn the basic Reiki attunement breathing techniques, the lock and hold points, and the process of passing
a Reiki Level I attunement. Students will review Sacred Space preparation methods and be
instructed in preparing sacred attunement water and performing the sacred Water Ceremony.

The components of good teaching skills, including creating, writing and presenting a
workshop/class when serving in the capacity of a teacher will be discussed. Outlines for
the final presentation component of the Teacher Training Program will be required for the
successful completion of this class.





RKI 503 Advanced Reiki Techniques

(3.0) Credit Units

Students will work in partnership to apply basic Reiki body detoxification techniques and
begin learning several Reiki techniques related to the energetic healing of specific physical
and emotional dis-ease as set forth by Dr. Usui and Dr. Hayashi. The Reiki Keko technique,
used in client sessions, and the Still Point technique will be taught and practiced.




RKI 504 The Second Degree Attunement Process

Students will discuss the importance of ritual and ceremony in preparation for and for use
during the Reiki attunement process. Level II symbols, meanings and uses will be reviewed
as well as the process of conducting a Level II Reiki Attunement. Students will learn the
Sacred Ash Ceremony as well as specific Reiki Mudras related to the Attunement process.




RKI 505 Clinical Practice

Business ethics, intake forms and treatment permissions/releases, business insurance and
the legal aspects of working with clients and/or teaching students will be introduced in this
class. Client body language, pre-treatment discussion and post-treatment follow up will be
discussed. Body relaxation techniques through touch and/or guided mediation will be
introduced. Students will work in partnership to create a simulated intake and treatment
session.




RKI 506 The Master Level Attunement

(3.0) Credit Units
Level III symbols, meanings and uses will be reviewed as well as the process of conducting
a Level III Reiki Attunement with great reverence will be practiced.




RKI 507 Workshop Presentation
Facilitator:

Pre-requisite:
RKI 506
(5.0) Credit Units

Students will deliver their final presentations during this class. They will deliver the
presentations that they have written along with the required accompanying presentation
workbooks and related materials. Each presentation will be at least 1 hour in length but
no more than 1 1/2 hours. Each student’s presentation will be delivered in front of fellow
students and invited family, friends and other senior students enrolled in the Art of Healing
School of Energy Medicine.




RKI 508 Reiki Level Presentation

Students must write and teach a Level I Reiki class. Required work also includes outlines,
