Tai Chi Instructor: Lori Gamroth - M. Ed Fee is $79.00 for 6 class series, paid in advance. Sessions: Tuesday Morning - Intermediate: 9:00-10:00 Wednesday Evening - Beginners: 6:00-7:00 Come explore the practice of Tai Chi Ch’uan, a gentle Chinese Chi Gong exercise, surrounded by the beauty of nature. This practice enhances relaxation skills, mental focus, and physical strength. Treat yourself to the experience of thoroughly integrating your mind, body, and spirit with this powerfully profound and ancient practice. Students will learn: • 5 principles of Tai Chi revealed by Master Cheng Man-Ch’ing • 12 basic tai chi movement patterns • Basic 5 minute form that can be used as a daily personal practice anytime, anywhere |

Candlelight Yoga Instructor: Judy Weiss Fee is $79.00 per 6 class series. Walk-ins are welcomed, but the cost will be $15 per class. Session I begins Thursday, January 12th and will contiue on Thursdays through 2/9. Series II begins on March 15th and continues through April 19th. Each Yoga class will be 1.5 hrs in length beginning at 6pm and ending at 7:30 pm. Yoga is an immortal art, science and philosophy. It has withstood the test of time from the beginning of civilization and remains supreme in developing physical, intellectual, emotion- al and spiritual well-being. It combines the intelligence of the mind, the movement of dance and awareness of breath. It is through the practice of Yoga that we can go from the surface of our being to the depth of our soul. According to B.K.S. Iyengar, “The body is lazy, the mind is vibrant and the soul is luminous. Yogic practice develops the body to the level of the vi- brant mind so that the mind and body are drawn to the light of the soul” Yoga is a phenomenal gift and through that gift each student will discover the inherent beauty of their own form and the relevance of this discovery on the spiritual path. Unexpected and pleasant results will be revealed to the student as a result of slow gentle stretching and engaging the breath to help release stress and tension; vitality will be brought to the physical form through the practice of various Asana or Yoga postures. All movement is directed to bring copious supply of fresh blood and life giving energy to every cell of the body. The cells of the body are the pearls of life and each cell carries a life of its own holding physical, physiological, emotional, intellectual and spiritual functions. Over time students begin to feel lightness within their heart center and realize this as the home of their true nature. All classes have their own rhythm which is determined by the experience level and flexibility of the students participating. Through specific movement and attention to detail, each student will develop an awareness of hamstring flexibility, openness of the hips, chest and shoulders, and overall strength of the physical form. Yoga props will be used to make all movement accessible for students regardless of age and physical condition. |
